Pool News<\/h2>\n\n\n\n- Free swim hours are now 1:00pm to 9:00pm on weekdays and 11:00am to 9:00pm on weekends.<\/li>
- Morning lane swims begin on July 4. Please see the UB1 calendar<\/a>. Note that Sunday morning lane swim from 11am-11:30 and 11:30-12pm is only in half the pool, the other half of the pool is free swim. No registration is required.<\/li>
- Session 1 swimming lessons start on Monday, July 4th. The lesson schedule is posted at the pool. Please email ub1guards@gmail.com<\/a> for any questions. Please see the chart at the end of this newsletter for the swimming lesson instructor schedule.<\/li>
- The guards are planning the Halloween Trick or Treating Night route (July 11th around 6:30or 7pm to 8 pm). If any member in the UB1 neighbourhood would like to have their house as a stop on the route (it is so fun to see the kids dressed up and a guard can\/will be assigned there), please email ub1guards@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/li>
- The UB1 guard team kindly ask parents and kids to put away any pool noodles, flutter boards or toys when they are done so that they are easily accessible for anyone else who would like to use them. It is also a big help to the guards. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

Tennis News<\/h2>\n\n\n\nJunior Tennis Lessons<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nSign-up for junior tennis lessons has now ended, although for consideration of any sessions beyond July 15, please email upperbeechwood1tennis@gmail.com<\/a> to discuss adding child(ren) individually. Schedules for the first two weeks of classes will be emailed out this weekend. Please let our Tennis Director, Andrea, know at upperbeechwood1tennis@gmail.com<\/a> if there are any conflicts with swimming lessons so she can make adjustments asap. Enrollment was high these first two weeks so classes are very full, although mostly capped at 8 participants per session. <\/p>\n\n\n\nLessons will run from 9:30 to 12:30 from July 4 to 8, but we needed to extend the lesson time from 9 am to 12:45 pm the week of July 11 to 15 because of high interest that week. We have ensured that each child has at least 4 lessons in a 1 week period, or 7 lessons over a two week period.

Join us on the basketball court for an hour yoga lesson. The cost is a $5 drop-in fee payable to the instructor. Please bring your mat, water bottle and bug spray if it is buggy. Come join us on Wednesday July 6th on the basketball courts at 8:30-10pm for UB1\u2019s first movie night of the summer. The featured show is How to Train Your Dragon! The movie is about Hiccup, a Viking chief’s son who lives in a village of dragon hunters. Hiccup is a bit of a trouble maker and goes off on adventures and befriends dragons changing the village\u2019s mentality on the species for the better. It is animated and rated PG. Please sign up at the pool. Bring your own snacks and blankets and we hope to see you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\nFriday Single Digit Night: <\/strong>
Hi everyone! We will be having a superhero themed single digit night next week on Friday, July 8th from 7-9 pm. This event is for kids ages 7-9. Please sign up at the pool.
