This is the last week of swim lessons for the season. Next week (week of August 29th) the morning slots will be used for Bronze Medallion classes. Free swim will be from 1:00pm until 8:30pm.

<\/p>\n\n\n\nLet’s Get Social!<\/h2>\n\n\n\nYoga Night – Tuesday, August 23rd<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nPlease note that yoga has been moved to Tuesday night this week because of the Adult Party. Join us on the basketball court for an hour yoga lesson from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The cost is a $5 drop-in fee payable to Amanda. our wonderful instructor. Please bring your mat and water bottle, and enjoy some relaxation under the open sky. Please see the UB1 calendar<\/a> on the website to register.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAdult Party – Wednesday, August 24th<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nPlease join us for the annual adult party from 7:00pm to 11:00pm! We will supply the live music with the band, Silvia and the Boyfriend, <\/em>and snacks. Please bring your favourite beverages (BYOB). <\/p>\n\n\n\nWe are looking for volunteers to help set up the party before 7:00pm and to tear down at the end of the event at 11:00pm. Swim around Canada is officially finished! You can keep working on completing all the lengths\/widths but you can pick up your prizes from the guard office starting on Monday, August 22nd. Thank you all for participating and putting in such hard work to complete this challenge!!\u00a0
Water\u00a0Polo\u00a0– Wednesday, August 24th<\/strong>
For those ages 8 and up wishing to play some water polo, Upper Beechwood 2 is hosting a Beechwood water polo tournament on August 24 from 3:00-6:00pm and UB1 is putting together a team. The sign-up sheet is located on the events board and anyone 8 and up can participate;\u00a0no experience is required. If you plan on competing, please come to UB1 at 2:20pm so we can walk over as a group and bring goggles, towel and money if you wish to buy food. Hope to see everyone signed up and ready for some water polo!

Craft of the Week\u00a0– Wednesday, August 24th<\/strong>
The craft of the week will be at\u00a01:00 pm on the pool deck. We will be creating leaf art and bracelets. Anyone is welcome to come out \ud83d\ude42
Carnival Night\u00a0– Thursday, August 25th<\/strong>
Don’t miss this annual event!\u00a0 Carnival night will start at\u00a05:30pm. There will be games, crafts and face paint stations where you can get stamps.\u00a0Once you get enough stamps you can get a special treat or prize. Around 6:30pm or 7:00pm,\u00a0we will switch to some awesome group games (wear comfortable clothes and shoes)! There will be activities for everyone, bring the whole family!\u00a0
The Crazy Canuck food truck will be at Carnival night again this year. If you are interested in purchasing food,\u00a0please fill out the google form that was sent in the newsletter by email on August 19th so they know how much food to bring. The form is due this Monday.
