New Online Court Sign-up System<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are going to transition to an online scheduling system for the tennis and pickleball courts this weekend. If you want to book a court or see what courts are available, please use this website link sent to members and associates in the newsletter on June 24th.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This system is easy to use, there is no separate log-in required, but your email is required for confirmation of booking. Please keep in mind to limit bookings to one per day, 1 hour per day. If there are any concerns, please feel free to email our Tennis Director, Andrea, at upperbeechwood1tennis@gmail.com<\/a>. This virtual scheduling system will completely replace the paper system we have now.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next Week\u2019s Pool Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pool will be open for free swim Monday and Wednesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm next week and from 12:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday and Friday. Happy last week of school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check out the pool times and fun events planned on the UB1 website<\/a>. The guard team has some fun events planned for this summer. Please check that you are looking at the 2023 calendar and not one cached from previous years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science Night<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science Night is coming up on Thursday July 6th at 6:00pm<\/strong>. Any age is welcome to participate. We will supply all the materials, just bring clothes that can get dirty! We hope to see you there! Please sign up using the form that was sent out in the June 24th newsletter to ensure we have enough materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween Night Volunteer Homes Still Needed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We still need volunteer homes to hand out candy (UB1 can supply the candy) on Halloween Night (Tuesday July 11th around 6pm). Please email Lia at ub1guards@gmail.com<\/a> if you can help out. It is a fun night to see UB1 junior members all dressed up in costume! We are also looking for students who want to get some volunteer hours to help out that night (5pm to 8pm)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tennis lesson sign up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please sign up for child July tennis lessons using the link sent out last week. The link will remain active until June 30th at 12 pm and we will email out a schedule by July 1st that outlines the lesson plan for the first 2 weeks of July. We will do our best to make sure there is no overlap between swim lesson time and tennis lesson time.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swim lesson sign up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration will be online (google form link found in email sent last week) again this year! Session 1 registration opens on June 23rd at 12pm and closes June 30th at 12pm<\/strong>. Please make sure you are signing your swimmer(s) up for the appropriate level:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your swimmer has been at a different facility (YMCA, Kitchener, etc.) and you need to find the equivalent level, please email Lia at ub1guards@gmail.com. Note:<\/strong> we use the same program as the City of Waterloo.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you need to check your swimmer’s last report card on Swimgen from UB1, you can do so through this link (https:\/\/swimgen.net\/search\/ub1<\/a>) with their Participant ID. If you need their ID please email Lia at ub1guards@gmail.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class Lists will be posted at the link provided in the email last week on June 30th by the end of the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
