- Please note that the pool will be closing for the season at the end of the day on Monday, September 7th (Labour Day). The basketball and tennis courts will continue to be open for use into the fall. <\/li>
- Today was the last day for lane swim and Aquafit class. There will be no lane swims or Aquafit classes this week or on Labour Day weekend. Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross classes will be taking place at the pool this week in the morning. <\/li>
- Tennis lessons have finished for the season so the tennis courts and pickle ball courts are available to be booked each morning.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Ice Cream Carnival Night – Wednesday, September 2nd!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\nTo celebrate the end of the season, “Classic Cone” Ice Cream Truck will be driving around the UB1 neighbourhood to deliver ice cream to our members from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Please see below for the map showing the stop closest to your house. Associate members can safely social distance at the UB1 stop. It is a great way to get out and safely see your neighbours while enjoying a frozen treat! UB1 life guards and the board of directors will also be parading the streets to say “hello” and celebrate the end of the summer season with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets are $1.00 per ice cream cone\/slushie. The rest of the costs are being subsidized by UB1 and a City of Waterloo Neighbourhood Matching Fund. Tickets will be sold in advance only (the truck will not accept cash) and can be purchased from the guards in the guard office during free swim today, tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday (please bring exact change).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Soft serve cones – vanilla, chocolate, or twist (chocolate dip, sprinkles, Oreo or peanut dip options) <\/li>

Hello UB1! I hope you had a great summer at the pool. Although this summer was a little different than past years, I hope everyone enjoyed using the pool and participating in the activities this summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For this final week while the pool is open, I have a small craft for families to complete at home to show their support and love for the community. On a piece of paper, draw or paint a large heart and write any positive messages or decorate how you like. Some ideas for positive messages are; \u201cWe\u2019re in this together\u201d or \u201cStay strong\u201d. Get creative with any colouring or stickers you want to add. Once you have finished, hang the paper up in a window for the community to see. I hope to see lots of hearts hung up in windows by the end of this week!
