Pool News
Please note that starting tomorrow, August 17th, the pool will be closing at 8:30pm. The last half hour of free swim from 8:00pm to 8:30pm, will be walk-in only.
Tennis Lessons
The last session of tennis lessons will be from August 17-21 and August 24-28. The schedule will be sent directly to those who have signed up.
If you want to sign up your kids for session 4 and have not done so already, please

Week Seven Activities – Hawaiian Luau week
Hey UB1! Last week’s Art theme was great, and we had an awesome turnout at our talent night! This week is Hawaiian Luau week! In addition, on Tuesday night at 7pm we will have a Family Bingo Night. More details are below:
Make-it Monday
This week you will be making homemade leis at home! A lei is a common symbol of love, friendship and celebration. Below is a picture for inspiration. You will need straws, yarn and coloured paper cut into flowers. Punch holes into the paper flowers to string them onto the yarn, alternating small pieces of straw and paper flowers. After you repeat the pattern several times, tie the ends and wear the lei around your neck!
Family Bingo Night on Tuesday August 18th
There will be no “Wild Card Wednesday” this week, but UB1 will be hosting a UB1 themed family bingo night! It will begin at 7PM on Tuesday August 18th and take place on the basketball courts. Fill out this google form to sign up!

Upcoming Ice Cream Carnival!
During the first week of September (date still to be announced – likely September 2nd), we would like to celebrate our 2020 season with an Ice Cream Carnival Street Party! “Classic Cone” Ice Cream Truck will be driving around Clair Creek, making a few stops along the way, and driving up and down the courts to deliver ice cream to our members. Your board of directors and life guards will also be parading the streets to say “hello” and celebrate with you.
Tickets for ice cream will be sold at the pool for $1 each in advance. Your ticket will get you the choice of a soft serve cone, with a dip as an option or a slushie.
