Dear UB1 members,

The Holiday Walk has a new date! It will take place next Wednesday, December 22nd. Please see below for information about the upcoming Holiday Walk and a seasonal note from our President, Monica Heinrich. 

Join your fellow UB1 members on our annual Christmas walk, Wednesday, December 22nd. The route will be along Clair Creek, Branstone, Wingrove and Kingsmill but feel free to wander down any of the UB1 streets as they are all filled with beautiful lights and decorations. You are welcome to start at any point along the route but please keep socially distanced and follow COVID-19 protocols.  A prize will go to the best decorated house!  Please vote for your favourite decorated house using this form.
Please drop by the pool house on Branstone. We will be accepting Food Bank donations and handing out candy canes.

We look forward to seeing everyone out for some holiday cheer!

As we close 2021, your Board of Directors would like to take the opportunity to wish you and your families happy holidays and the best for a happy and healthy new year. 
 
In celebration of the season we hope you plan to join your neighbours on the Holiday Walk on December 22.  Enjoy the beautiful lights along the way and a treat as you pass by the pool house.

Retiring Board Members

We would like to take this time to say thank you to retiring UB1 Directors Matt Wells and Sue and Art Winters.   
 
As Facility Director, Matt spearheaded many facility improvement projects including the painting of the pool house, the update to the basket ball court and implementation of the camera security system, along with maintenance fixes as they arose.    
 
Art and Sue Winters, who are retiring from the Tennis Director role, led the junior tennis program through the challenging COVID period ensuring our kids had a fun and safe experience on the courts. They were instrumental in introducing pickle ball to the community and their hours of court maintenance have enhanced the courts for the enjoyment of all.  
 
Thank you Matt, Sue and Art for your volunteer time in support of your UB1 community.   
 

Board and Committee Positions available 

UB1 Board positions are now available for covenant members for Facility Director and Tennis Director. This is a great way to get involved in your vibrant community. Please direct your interest and inquiries to me at upperbeechwood1president@gmail.com . 
 
As well, the Social Committee is looking for additional volunteers (covenant or associate members) to join the team to help plan and run Events throughout the year. This is a super fun committee. Please direct your interest and inquiries to Amy at upperbeechwood1social@gmail.com.
