Spotlight
Get to know your UB1 Board of Directors!
Norma Scott, Property Director
Norma and her husband, David, are original homeowners in the UB1 neighbourhood, building their house on Kingsmill Court 36 years ago. Their daughter, Lindsay, grew up using the UB1 pool and they used to take their granddaughter, Hayley, for free swim when she was younger as well. While Norma and David now rarely use the pool or courts, they appreciate the value the UB1 facility provides to the community.
Norma joined the UB1 board in 2021 as Property Director because she saw an opportunity to make some improvements to the UB1 landscaping, most of which was planted 35 years ago. We have Norma to thank for the amazing UB1 property transformation over the past 2 years including new plantings, replacement of dead trees, new lighting, new signage and fencing, and an extensive clean-up of the area around the basketball court. Norma (and David) can often be seen watering trees and pulling weeds to make UB1 look so welcoming for the community.
The UB1 Board of Directors is always interested in recruiting directors from our covenant membership and members or associates who would like to volunteer on a committee to help serve the UB1 community. If you would like to get involved in your UB1 community, please contact Monica Heinrich, President, for more information.
Enjoy the long weekend!
