Leaf collection in Upper Beechwood will start this Thursday. City staff will be working on Saturday this weekend to catch up from a break on Wednesday for Remembrance Day.

Santa Claus parade November 21

The Lions Club of Kitchener is holding two “reverse” Santa Claus Parades for 2020, one in Kitchener and one in Waterloo. Floats will stay parked as people drive by in their cars to ensure physical distancing. The Waterloo parade will take place on Saturday, November 21 from 10:00am to noon at Grey Silo Golf Course. People are encouraged to bring donations of food and toys for the Christmas Toy Drive and the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Canada Post staff will also be available to accept letters to Santa Claus.
